[Advantage Austria]

The Austrian Trade Commission in London is part of the Austrian Embassy and is the official Trade Promotion Organisation for Austria. Our main focus is to promote business relations between Austria and the UK. Further information is available on www.advantageaustria.org/uk
We would like to appoint a Marketing Officer . The position is full-time, to begin as soon as possible.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Advise on market entry strategies
• Research and compilation of a market overview for various industry sectors.
• Extensive database & web research
• Identify suitable business partners for Austrian companies
• Active monitoring of the UK market and industry opportunities
• Build on existing relationships and establish new relationships between Austrian and British companies
• Independent correspondence in English and German
• Plan and organize business trips, meetings, trade fairs and events
• Administrative duties

Skills required:

• Excellent command of German and English language (spoken and written)
• Advanced computer skills (MS Office) and a willingness to learn new applications
• Organisational skills
• A „self starter“
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to provide a fast and accurate service to prospective Austrian exporters
• Experience in trade and investment promotion is an advantage
• Qualification level: Graduate

We offer:

• Salary depending on experience from £26,000

We are looking for a flexible, committed and well-organised person, ideally with previous experience in trade and investment promotion or in import/export, marketing or market research. Some knowledge of and interest in Austria would be a definite advantage.
